Om Sri Har Sofia,

My obeisance to the Divine in you!

What beautiful writing, I could feel your honest and loving soul.

I am not sure which book you read, but here are a few things I would like to clarify:

Ayurvedic method:

Ayurveda = Practice of a natural system of medicine. They still use it in India and has successfully spread over most part of the world.

It is in the same category as Modern medicine, homeopathy, allopathy, bach remedy practices (flower practice), etc.

Ayurvedic method work on Kalpa, Pitta, and Vayu doshas. You can google them for more details. Not related to Sankalpa at all. Unless you are sick and the Ayurvedic doctor has asked you to eat no meat or avoid certain food, then you can take a Sankalpa “ I will not eat meat for this year”.

What is Sankalpa?

Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word.

It reflects determination towards your intention.

San = to become one with

Kalpa – time

Basically, if you wish to not drink alcohol, so you can take a small Sankalpa “ I will not drink alcoholic drinks for the next 5 days”.

And then, you stick with it.

Or, you could say “I will not use curse words for the next one hour”. It could be anything. You can extend it for one year or a lifetime. Your choice. But when you take the Sankalps, you fulfill it and complete it. Sankalpa’s are not to be broken.

Word “OM” – It is a primordial sound. It is Mantra as well, this one has no Seed syllable, Rishi, Beeja, Chanda, Devata, Shakti, or Tilaka.

Anyone can use it and it is very powerful and beneficial if practiced is correct.

You can use OM, when you take the Sankalpa if that makes you feel peaceful.

Sorry for the long note.

Sending all my love and respect. 💖🙏🙏
