My Mind assured me it was and will always be my best friend, my faithful, beloved companion.
So, I offered it my time and made it the center of my existence, my most precious possession; I gave it all.
I chanted its glories, I pampered it, I danced and played with my Mind all my life.
My thoughts, actions, and reactions all belong to my Mind.
I was happy in my Mind’s golden world with an occasional thunderstorm.
Mind you, there was always a sprinkle of showers with a glorious rainbow after every thunderstorm.
One blue moon, I started longing for my Divine.
My Mind swiftly offered me Bhakti to soak into the Divine.
My Mind suggested surrendering to get close to the Divine.
My Mind helped me be a helping hand to people in need in Seva.
My Mind read, understood, and helped me absorb the teachings of sages and wise ones.
My Mind proved its companionship; I was grateful to Mind.
And there came another blue moon; I started longing for liberation.
And everything changed!
My Mind refused, fought, and rebelled against me, knowing it was my Mind that brought me into the bondage of the world. My Mind is the one I needed the liberation from.
The golden world of my Mind was my prison, with the rainbow of Maya. Oh! What a colorful illusion.
Seek the liberation from your Mind; the Divine awaits you.
