You can explore more details in Advaita (non-two) Vedanta. Swami Sarvapriyananda has excellent lectures online. Or even Swami Vivekananda’s lectures at the Chicago conference would give you answers as well.

I am sure you are familiar with Adi Shankaracharya and Gaudapada who helped evolved this idea from the Scriptures written by Veda Vyasa and created Advaita Vedanta (nonduality).
